I replaced a much older (expensive)tea kettle that I had for years with this one, and I have not been dissapointed. Some may say that the whistle isn't loud enough; however, for me that is a good thing because I had a 4 month old at home. We love the large size, as we frequently serve tea to guests. My biggest complaint however is that the handle flops over, and because of this the handle gets VERY hot. We have had friends burn their hands on it before we've had the chance to tell them they need to use a pot holder. Recently, water has started to leak from where the spout meets the kettle, but the fact that it has lasted this long with almost daily use means it's paid for itself many times over! Over all, it's not a bad buy, but I think we'll be spending the extra money to get a kettle that is less likely to injure us! |
