Would not recommend. The first teakettle's whistle fell out within the first week of use. The replacement teakettle's whistle stayed in place, but did not whistle loud enough to be heard from an adjoining room! I returned it as well and am awaiting a refund. I do not recommend this teakettle if you need one with a working whistle. This review is from: KittAmor 3 Quart Julia Whistling Stainless Tea Kettle, Red (Kitchen) this tea kettle was beautiful when i first got it butthe first time i used it, it got a brown, burned looking spot in the enamel near the mouth. i think mine was probably just faulty or had overly thin metal or enamel or somehting but i wouldnt trust another one so i returned it for a refund. the seller was really great and got my refund to me right away.
